The bow produces arrows that have a +range bonus.  Not sure what the +hit bonus is but the range seems to be +10%.   Mar 22 2004

Braggarts Bow - The archery haste bonus was reduced by 3%, the archery damage bonus was reduced by 2%, and the archery range bonus was reduced by 1%. A bow skill bonus of 3 was added.

 When used, <the create item ability> will summon 50 arrows into your sack. The damage type of the arrows summoned is random, but all arrows will be normal footed flight broadhead status, and won't stack with normal arrows. When you log out of the game, these arrows will dissapear from your sack and are flagged as no-trade/no-sell.    Nov 19

The level 10 ability on the braggarts bow is listed as "Offensive Proc". When /use2 is performed, the item casts a 45 second duration proc on the user. For the 45 second duration, the proc will go off an average of 1 in 3 shots (or melee swings), delivering an insta fire DD of approx. 100 dmg to the target player, and anywhere from 35 - 70+ damage to all surrounding enemies (npc and player)within a 1k radius. This proc is castable every 15 minutes and is on the same timer as the lvl 50 summon arrow ability. Will work with volley.    Nov 21

Strategy:

I will confirm that Braggert Bow can be done with 1 group.
We did it yesterday our setup was:
3 scouts
1 pally
1 Theurgh (6 sec PBT)
1 cleric
1 buff bot outside grp
We did it that way:
No haste, no damage adds, no magic attacks. Only cleric buffs, PBT and health chant.
The 3 scouts took out the links from the eastern hillside. 1 by 1. Took about 20 Minutes. After that we shooted on Karise till her health was down to 3 % (took another 20 minutes). Then we all charged in. Pally meleed, cleric healed and scouts shoot her from the inside cirle to get the credit.

Tips:

Did Braggart's Bow with 1fg yesterday and it was safe and bloodless.  Group had 3 animists in it.... I as the ranger would timply stealth up close enough to target the Control Links, and the animists used /assist to bomb them to pieces.  Each Control Link dropped in about 45 seconds.  Then the group closed in on Kraise to take her down by having a hero hold aggro while these same animists again bombed away.  Took maybe 10 minutes for the whole encounter.  ONLY animists attack though, tell your other casters to sit it out and watch because they'll aggro the statues and kill the caster quick, resetting the encounter.  Sep 22 2004

Just did Braggart's Bow do-able if you have the time with 7 people. Had 2 scouts, 2 s/s paladins, 1 cleric, 1 friar, 1 ice wiz.  Pulled links from the east hill with tanks guarding each other and taking aggro off the scouts (took bout 45 minutes) then shot Kraise from a distance until she was 3%, charged in a melee'd her with everyone inside the encounter (bout another 30 minutes). 1 LD slowed us down but do-able without a full group, ice wiz said he mainly just did damage adds and wasn't able to hit the mobs for much damage at all, so do-able with time without the wizard.  Aug 16 2004

We did the braggerts bow encounter this weekend.  Had a 46 ranger, 3x 50 druids, 50 bard, 50 BM, 50 animist, 50 enchanter.  We failed the encounter a couple times but after reading the advice, we had the ranger go in and get a target link.  The enchanter and animist spam nuked as the ranger shot arrows at it.  It took about 20 minutes to kill all of the links, then we rushed in and spammed shrooms as well as pbaoed Karise and she did drop the bow, so we now know that if you use magic, it still can drop the bow.  That makes this encounter so much quicker.  Aug 6 2004

We took Karise down with 2groups that day. Picture of battle.  We used a rather diverse set of classes and had no problems. This was the second time in 2 days that we'd killed her. I suggest assisting one person on first globe then declaring whether your group(s) are going to go clockwise or counter-clockwise to kill the rest of the globes.

Now the Karise encounter is completely different -- no longer able to be done by a solo ranger. All the orbs now dodge blows, as does Karise herself (and yes, I went around and tried every orb, hoping there was an order to it).
We have to get a FG+ to take it down.

 we did the encounter with 2 FG and a lot of healing. 
we tried one FG and only killed 3 links
its in a prime location too, so get together 2-3 FG and do Cloudsong, Braggarts Bow, Jacina's Sash all in an afternoon

Braggart's Bow- as of 11/4/03 Karise now dodges all arrow attacks.  I shot about 40 arrows at her from the east hill- she dodged them all.

Drops:

It also dropped and MP large shield, 3 crap ROG items, and 1 Vial of Heavenly Breezes (legendary item).
