Recovery: Target recovers from the effects of resurrection.
Target: Self
Casting time: instant
This spell is cast when the item is used.
raise dead: Brings target back to life, and restores a portion of
their health and power, and eliminates the experience penalty and con
loss they would have suffered were they to have /released.
Target: Dead
Casting time: instant
Radius: 1000
This spell is cast when the item is used.
Can use item every 15 min
The Egg of Youth level ten Celestial Resurrection spell will now
restore 10% health and no power to resurrected players. The artifact's
ability now costs no power to cast and will resurrect up to a maximum
of 8 realmmates within 1000 radius.
(Patch 1.67 Dec 16 Live)
The level 5 ability recovers con-loss as well as clearing ress
sickness. It will also clear any previous con loss that isn't
related to your current death, great way to save money. One odd
bug though, if you try using it when you don't have ress sickness(but
do have con loss) it will tell you that you are not under the effects
of ressing and it will restart the 15 minute timer without clearing
your con.
So only use it when you currently have ress-sickness as to not waste 15 minutes. Feb 13

Sililia ( The Bird) can now be killed before the pillars are taken
down. This will cause the encounter to fail. Also no ML xp
will be given. May 14 2004

The Egg of Youth can be done with 3 people, and won't take very long.
You need: A Healer that has some sort of power regen (Bard, Mentalist),
a Shield Tank, and a Battlemaster 2+ preferably one with his own End
regen (Warden works best due to end reduce and end regen buffs, Paladin
is also good).
First thing to do is have the Shield Tank attack the
Named Harpy at the top of the Mountain. Let the Tank taunt it a few
times while the Healer uses small heals on him. Once the Shield Tank
has aggro Engage the harpy. Once it is engaged the Shield tank can go
afk and the one healer will easily be able to deal with the harpy.
Now
depends what class you have on End regen, you need to keep the Shield
Tank stocked up on end for engage and you need to keep the Battlemaster
2 full too. If your using a Paladin try and have the shield tank within
range of him while he destroys the pillars, this will work best using a
Bard and a Warden as the Bard can keep end on the Shield tank and the
Warden has his own End Regen.
There are 9 pillars to destroy so if you
bring more people bring lots of rams. Once all 9 of the Pillars are
down the Battlemaster 2 should rejoin the Shield Tank, and pick up the
Egg of youth from the fallen nest, and they should both bring the Named
Harpy down to 0%, this is by far the hardest part, but is still fairly
easy especially if you have PBT.
Once the Harpy is at 0% the person who
picked up the Egg of Youth should use it (put it in the quickbar, hold
E, click on it), at this point the harpy will die. You now have around
1 minute to celebrate before a bunch or Orange con Harpies pop, so move
off the mountain. Mar 4 2004

Tips:
This
encounter is a very difficult one as it is a very unconventional fight,
and requires good listening to be done correctly. Here are some extra
precautions to take in version 1.69:
1.)
A bug allows the Harpy to die without the pillars being knocked down;
this equals no credit/no egg. To counteract this bug, you must have the
tank holding her aggro try to keep her health above 40% until all the
pillars are down.
2.)
Healers can get aggro if they heal the tank that holds the bird too
soon, or if they get too CLOSE to the bird. Healers, stay back. If you
get aggro, die and get rezzed, make sure ONLY the tank is around the
bird until all the pillars are down (Keep in mind certain classes must
stay somewhat close to give PBT and EndRegen.
With some listening, this encounter is quite simple, without it, it can be the worst. May 9 2004

She doesnt die unless you use the egg then she will die.
the pillers only become targetable when the Named harpy is
engaged.. Nov 9 2003

Just did this with 1fg of 2 Shammies, 2 Shield Warriors, 2 Faultfinding
Thanes, 1 Hunter (with ram ability) and 1 45 Warrior. Also had a
40 Healer bot and 50 Shammie bot.
Nothing really new from other strategies save for this. In order
to help with the mob and easier on the heals, the 2 shield tanks
guarded each other AND both engaged. There were times during the
encounter where we would go for about 5-10 min (maybe longer, it was a
long encounter) without a single hit on one of the tanks. Other
than that, do what everybody else says and take the pillars down to
1-2% and then take them down when it's quick and easy. And watch
out, the pillars do AOE damage when they fall. May 3 2004

We did this encounter today with
2 fault finders (champ and a hero)
2 druid
1 bard
1 warden
1 mana chanter
1 night shade
we had one of the level 50 heros hold aggro on the giant harpy
we did not have any rams... so we took down 4 pillars and by the time we hit the 5th the other pillars had respawned..
so what we did was kept the pillars we where working on at 1% and moved
around did this to all of them once all 9 pillars where at 1% we
started destroying them, had the druid (me) run inside and wait for the
egg to fall once egg fell we just /use on the egg after we picked it up.
Hope this helps some for others who dont have alot of people. oh
the whole encounter form start to finish took about 1.5 hours....thats
including the respawned pillars. Apr 8 2004

This can be done with 5 people takes a lil time about 1 and half hours .
Did this with 50 pally( 50 shield mob 2) 50 pally ( battlemaster 2) 50 arms 50 rejuve cleric and put bot in for bashing towers.
Hand pally 1 engage the mob and cleric stayed with him for small
heals then arms pally ( with BM) and bot bashed 9 towers down we
all then easily took down the named down to 0% and 3 returned to
bash down the last tower cleric grabed egg and used it artifact
achived. Just took a lil time but we got it. Jan 11 2004
