A Daughter's Journey Quest

Starting NPC:
Albion: Verica. Just outside a tent in the camp below the Hall of Heroes in Ruins of Atlantis, near the docks.
Hibernia: Athiela and the guy to speak with at the dock is Guthry.
Midgard: Oktara, outside tent near Hall of Heroes in Ruins of Atlantis.

Level Requirement: Albion: 26, Midgard: 24, Hibernia: 24

Comments on Solo, Grouped, or Battlegrouped: This has been done with 2 people. NPC suggests being grouped. It's been soloed by a 27 warrior.

Steps:

Albion version

Speak with the Starting NPC, Verica, just outside a tent in the camp below the Hall of Heroes in Ruins of Atlantis, near the docks.

- go talk to Orwyn, on the docks, he gives you a map.

- /use the map. Sends you for a search under an underwater broken arch W/NW of the docks (29800 7800). A few barracudas there. /search and get the 'Main Piece of the Broken Key'.

- /use the map again. Go kill two named cuddas in a kelp forest just SW of arch (26900 9300). Gorger gives you second part of the key, Filcher gives you the third part.

- /use the Main Part of the Broken Key to reconstitute the 'Explorer Master Key'.

- /use the map once again. Sends you to an island SW of the broken arch, W/NW of the docks. Find the chest under a tree on the island (19800 7700).

- Open the chest by clicking on it. Nackal, named urchin pops, steals a belt of invisibility from the chest, flickers a bit and dissapears.

- Go back talk to Orwyn and /say ‘stolen the belt’. He gives you either

Orwyn’s Moth Eaten Map, /use the new map, and it sends you after Nackal on a strip of land SW of the docks. It can be seen from the docks. OR
Orwyn's Timeworn Map that sends you S/SE of the docks. It is not within sight, but after a short swim you find an island and enter an area called Nackal's Retreat (loc is 52032, 39732)

- Nackal is here, flickering thanks to the belt of invisibility. Kill the 6-7 Nackal’s henchmen (urchins) as a prerequisite to being able to kill Nackal himself. Proceed and receive a 'Belt of the Inutile' (unfortunately, just a quest item).

- return to Verica and hand her the belt to finish the quest.

- she goes out, flickering. She repoped a minute later

Did this a 50 cleric. All mobs where of course grey to me, si no clue about their level. Feb 24

Hibernia version

Talk to Athiela (33000 49200) (just outside a tent in the camp below the Hall of Heroes in Ruins of Atlantis, near the docks)

Talk to Guthry (34250 45900) at the dock

Talk to Breonna (34000 48800)

She tells you to kill a Sand skimmer and a Reef Octopus. Both can be found in the water SE of Breonna.

Give the Sand Skimmer Stinger to Breonna. She'll give you a Bundle of Spare Cloth.

Give the Bundle of Spare Cloth and the Reef Octopus Ink Sac to Guthry. He'll then give you a map.

/use the map. Head NE from the end of the dock, and keep on going till you reach loc (56000 18000). /search the sunken ruins.

/use the map again. Head W to the kelp forest. Find Filch and Gorger in the kelp forest and kill them to recieve the second and third part.

/use the main part of the broken key to combine the pieces.

return to Guthry and talk to him.

/use the map again. Head E/NE from the dock to loc (60000 27550). Kill Ergad's Drones and Ergad himself. Find the Chest and open it.

Head back to Athiela. Give her the belt and receive your reward. May 24 2004

Midgard version

Speak with the Starting NPC, Oktara, outside a tent in the camp below the Hall of Heroes in Ruinerar av Atlantis, near the docks. She is standing beside the Berserker trainer.

-Speak with Guddrik, on the docks about the 'belt of invisibility.' He will send you to Driva for 'spare cloth' and ask for you to return with a Reef Octopus Ink Sac.

--Driva (Armor Merchant behind tent) will send you for a Sand Skimmer Stinger (sand skimmers: 31256, 50303.) You are then prompted in your journal to kill a reef octopus for the Reef Octopus Ink Sac (reef octopus: 38515, 56257.) After killing sand skimmer (receiving the stinger) and the octopus (receiving the sac), return to Driva. Driva gives you the bundle of spare cloth in exchange for the stinger.

-Return to Guddrik. He takes the items and gives you Guddriks Dusty Old Map. /Use the map to find the Sunken Ruins. (Ruins: 50031, 32013) /Search at the ruins for the Main part of the key.

--/Use the map again to find Filcher and Gorger, named barracudas (Filcher and Gorger: 54871, 33801.) Kill them and receive second and third parts of the broken key. /Use the main part of the key to make the completed Explorer's Key.

-Return to Guddrik. He will give you the finished map (Guddrik's Map.) /Use the map to find the island where the chest is located.

--The chest and Toglo's guards are on the island NW/N from the dock (Ruinerar av Atlantis: 21554, 13970.) Kill Toglo's guards (3, grey to 42) and Toglo will appear (green to 42.) Kill Toglo. Open the chest (Explorer's Lost Chest) by right-clicking on it. You will receive the Belt of the Inutile.

Return to Oktara. Oktara will ask you for the belt and then give you the reward before 'Oktara slips the belt on and disappears from sight. You hear footsteps shuffle off into the distance.' She will disappear and then
respawn in a few seconds. Mar 2 2004

Midgard: When I went back to double check /locs and steps with my 35 skald, I was directed to find --Uros' guards.-- Uros' guards, Uros, and chest were located on an island at (Ruinerar av Atlantis: 16300, 53769.) All monsters except Uros were grey to a 35, and Uros was green. Mar 2 2004
